WHO WE ARE ?

Greencare is a water-soluble fertilizer formulating company that has been in continuous operation for over 60 years. Currently managed by the second generation, Greencare's first factory opened near Chicago, USA. Using only high-quality raw materials, Greencare's formulas became popular and a first choice for professional growers in the USA such as Ball Horticulture, PanAmerican Seed, Syngenta Flowers etc. These formulas were specifically designed for greenhouse crops such as flowers, vegetables and foliage crops. Formulas were also designed for fruit crops as well as row crops such as corn, wheat and soybeans. Hydroponic growers chose the high-quality formulas to grow their high-quality products. Universities such as Michigan State University, Ohio State University and University of Florida chose Greencare formulas for research projects because of the fertilizer consistency from lot to lot.

WHAT WE DO ?

From its beginnings in Chicago, Greencare USA updated its factory to Kankakee Ill. In the early 2000's Greencare expanded to Asia in Wuhan, China with a high-tech factory. Now Greencare formulas are used all over China on crops varying from bananas to cotton to countless other crops.Also, in Wuhan, horticultural laboratory services became available via a cooperation with QAL labs allowing Greencare to become a truly full-service horticultural company with 60+ years of fertilizer formulating experience and 40+ years of fertilizer, soil, water quality, plant nutrition, and recommendation experience.Recently, plans for another Asian factory in South Korea are becoming a reality. Larry Metcoff, the founder of GREENCARE brand, graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University in the 1950s. Larry Metcoff's father was a wealthy businessman who ran a chain pharmacy business during World War II. The spread of war made many drugs in short supply, and his family business grew as a result. However, as the only son in the family, Larry Metcoff did not inherit his father's career and instead worked in the fertilizer industry, making plants and soil his intimate partners. Although he did not inherit the family's pharmaceutical business, the medical essence of his family business was still passed down to him, and caring for the health of plants and soil became his lifelong career. Larry Metcoff founded a fertilizer company in Chicago, USA, using his invented ion maintainer to produce a new technology fertilizer that provides full nutrition for crops, and named it GREENCARE.

Zheng Xunling is Chairman of GreenCare Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Founder of the Huazhong Agricultural University International Precision Agriculture Research Institute, and a member of the Council of the Huazhong Agricultural University Education Development Foundation. He graduated in Pomology from Huazhong Agricultural University and earned an Executive MBA (EMBA) from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). With over 20 years of experience in international agricultural collaboration, Mr. Zheng specializes in plant nutrition, soil health, and precision agriculture. He has led the development and application of advanced precision fertilization technologies for cotton and major grain crops in China, contributing to sustainable high-yield production. He has also pioneered the adoption of rapid citrus propagation and soilless grape cultivation technologies. Recognized for his contributions to agricultural innovation, Mr. Zheng has received national and provincial science and technology awards and holds multiple Chinese invention patents, reflecting his commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture and shaping the future of modern crop production.
